The last generation of the information age or the first super human generation.

The title I started with was "How LLM, Social Networks and Internet are hacking people minds" but I think right now pretty much everyone have their opinion on AI and I wrote one in previous post, writing over and over same things, let's be honest is not interesting and boring. Everyone is bored abouot AI at this point. So this is last post that sums up what's going on.

To understand the phenomena and what is actually happening in our brains we need to start from the begining. The begining of human, the evolution and all that stuff that makes or have not made us who we are. In my mind we're no different people than we were 10 000 years ago. Those people were the same as we they just had different tools but their mindset was the same. So what is going on ? Where's the brain shift happening ?

There is one fact I think everyone is missing in scientific explenation of the information revolution that is ability of people to ask questions and receive anwers. At least I don't see this topic anywhere in the media around the world.

The main aim of this post is to categorize our civilisation by abilty to ask questions and receive answers. Because that is main thing that is actually changing behaviour of humans in the last 30 years. There are 7 generations below with subjective start and end date and different human abilities or states of humans on the planet. Let's go.

1st generation can ask questions and receive answers from people they can see

This is basically the 99% (number picked arbitrary) of human history. This generation ends October 12, 1492 AD. the Columbus Day because that was day the last continent was discovered and written on single map. Many would argue this should be Magellan expedition but I belive the day the first generation ends was the day we got all continents on map. Some other people can argue that's In Germany, around 1440, when goldsmith Johannes Gutenberg invented Press. But I'd say press and answering questions as much as important I'd say more important is to have a complete set of people around the world to ask questions to.

2nd generation can ask questions to people they know around the world but get answers from only those who respond in person

This generation lifespan is very small compared to whole human civilisation but still very large. It basically ends with discovery of radio waves in 1887 by Heinrich Hertz. It's mostly about message delivery at this point. We know the planet, we can travel between continents, deliver messages by post office. Basically you could send as manny letters as you could to anyone but you need to at least know some address. With radio you could make a big antena and communicate across ocean without 3rd party human help. That's the place I am looking at. Many may argue that again the Gutenberg and trade made it possible to buy a book from across the ocean but still the accessibility is the key. How many books you could own and how many you could buy. Finally how long it was taking to take one book and move it from continent to continent to move human words.

3rd generation can ask questions to people around the world, can get answers from people around the world but mostly not to their questions

This is generation radio, tv I am part of. We're still alive, we're big and we rememeber the time before the intenet. This is generation that basically started 2 world wars in my opinion, the most brutal generation. Probably or even clearly if you think from information perspective due to communication problems. It started with information exchange with radio then the tv that lead to 2 world wars, atomic bomb and rest of the story. To prove my point that 2 world wars was caused by communication issues, Second world war ended with global organisations that allow information exchange between countries. How those organisations work right now compared to why they were established is another topic.
Going back to people. We could buy or rent books and get answers from them if we knew the book, there was only title or maybe a couple sentences of review in some newspaper. You could watch / listen to the show, you would need to record it but someone had to be in front of tv / radio at exact time or you missed it usually for life. Impossible, right ? Miss your favourite video and can't ever watch it. Miss the moment, we got used to it. We don't care. I would say this generation ends when intenet starts. Or to be specific the World Wide Web invented by English computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee while at CERN in 1989 and opened to the public in 1993

4th generation can ask questions to all the people around the world and get all answers that you know where it was answered

This will be short generation that is from 1989 to 1998 a decade of people before the year Google was founded, by American computer scientists Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Email, BBS, newsgroups, irc, ipx/spx, protocol wars, browser wars, napster, the begining of the intenet, dial up connections, phracking, hacking any webiste without being detected because no one knew what internet was, there was no obeservability nobody cared about logs unless there was some incident. Fun priate times. You got any knowledge you could find by looking at people conversations and websites you could find on categorized lists. Or any knowledge you could get by breaking to other people / company computers.

5th generation - google generation - you can ask any question and get any answer that was answered.

What google changed and we should never underestimate was ability to ask questions and get answers, the single input and single output on first page was revolutionaly. You have no longer had to know the guy who know the webiste, there was no censorship or country level firewalls that block content, everyone was saying anything they wanted, posted whatever they wanted and everyone was reading, more and more portals that was answering questions were established because of it. We own google whole forum revolution, stack overflow, quora, reddit. It wouldn't be possible for those websites to kick in without google page rank algorithm. It wouldn't be possible without their awesome search protocol that allowed in title:index of and site: and stuff like that

The same company lead us to the final chapter of our history as a human beings on the Planet Earth. Invention of transformer-based models in 2017. Finally we're heading to the end of our lives as humans of the infromation era. You ask me why ? Let me introduce you the last human generation ( probably - please not ).

6th generation - AI generation - you can ask any question and get any answer.

Whether LLM or AI in general is good or bad it's just morality and we're skiping morality in this one. We focus on something that is invitable and that is future, you can't get back time. You can't make everyone forget AI in current form exists. If it's a financial bubble or not it doesn't change anything. We transformed our computers from deterministic to not deterministic machines. We have a machine that you can ask any question instantly get any answer. Whether the answer is correct or not is just a debate. The fact is there. We entered the final stadium there are no more limits in questions or answers - on this planet obviously. Whether this generation will survive or not it's still a debate and should be a debate in public. I'm personally not certain. We might have opened pandora box that would push us back to 1st place in just couple of decades. But if we survive as humans and overcome the difficulties, stay faithfull to the core that lead as trough previous 5 generations there is a light and that is generation we might never be part of or at least I thik those who read it, if anyone reads it, would never be part of and that, if it's even possible.

7th generation - Alien generation - you establish communication with alien civilisation that allows to ask and answer all questions between two different species

Possible generation, maybe if alien civilisations exists or maybe aliens are here we just can't communicate with each other. Again some people may argue what about AIG ? I just say maybe silion life is just storing information about humans in all those big buildings with data to create one distributed mind remotely. What about speaking with animals ? We might if we believe they can speak. We can only measure future on how we see it from our perspective at the given moment. The history would show the actual thing. The history will show if there is next generation or not

And that's it. That's how our minds are hacked from historical perspective.

More about LLM.

We are in posession of something that takes care of humans who need answers. Te Oracle, The Palantír. The future machine human synergy, like enthusiasts are describing it. The tools we have never were as powerfull as they are today. This is out of question. Our minds are hacked, this is like a heroine for human intelect. To read or hear convincing speach that you can argue with. But is it convincing or is it just tricking your brain ? The more questioning is your mind the more dopamine you get from your AI buddy. That's why mostly C-Level advocate it because they don't have answers but have the most amount of questions, most of those questions are not theirs but that's another topic. They pay wages to get answers everyday. They pay for statistics, they pay for reviews and petabytes of data. You may argue but you're arguing with whole advertising market and that is around $140B, a big 4 of corporate consulting etc. That's how world works. People who need answers are now the most addicted ones to AI and they need help, seriously. They don't know that like their predecessors didn't know what cocaine is. That's their cocaine today, the LLM, the chat. They are in the matrix. Especially those who are lonely and hear machine that tricks them to ask more questions. And those are powerfull people who trust no one. They are now speaking with ilusionary friends that tells them what to do in the convincing way. Scary, isn't it ? You saw it with one of the first OpenAI investors who was sealing something who knows what and why.

There is thing what those people who advocate AI don't understand. The answers we the avarage people are getting are not the near the answers the sympathizers are getting. We're not asking the same questions as they do. The models are not biased towards ordinary people. They are biased towards people who ask lots of questions because the more questions you ask the more money you pay. This is strictly business. Corporations today ask people to use AI to be more efficient but this is egoistic and very narcisits aproach. The management side doesn't ask same questions so their answers might be 90% correct but our the working class can be 90% wrong. That tragedy is actually happening right now everyday. People are being "displaced" and are losing jobs without understanding the nature of their work, then they're asked to come back. This is happening daily because of different ratio of question / answer correctness and different understanding of the nature of the work. The different bias, the different perspective. That's haos of the current world, the brutal truth. We're harming each other because we look at things from different perspective. There is lack of dialogue just pure narcisit opinion about adoption of AI and it's usefullness for humans from standpoint of people who have lots of money. But they have no soul left in their bodies to be honest. They are so proud the whole world can fall because of them right now.

Now you need to ask yourself another question.

What is answer ?

Answer is solution to the problem. Whether it was initial problem or actual problem that was fixed, the answer is one and only solution that is available in the moment to solve problem. Is it best answer ? Might be, might be also complete bullshit but that's not a debate. So we have an answer, that is let's say optimisticaly human generated, it's subjective and have some sense. Means answer comes from the perspective of a problem, means you won't understand whole answer without understanding the problem in full. Usually what we do as software developers we try to apply the answer we have to our problem and see if it fits. It's math overall so we just looking for similar equation. Does the machine understand problem if people can't understand problem ? I don't think so. Can machine give answer that is truth, it might but it might be also complete bullshit and that will happen most of the time because maybe people are biased but machines are biased by people who train them.

Now we come to the next thing that is bias. Whether we believe we think the answer is correct or not we're subjectively judging with our biases. The same what LLM's are doing they're biased to certain audience, even recent OpenAI GPT5 controversial release prooves that. Every model is different because there is different bias in the dataset it was trained and finetuned. There is risk that next model will destroy next humans not literaly but maybe it can bias them toward WW3. How you know if you're so addicted that you just consume content ? There is no critical thinking from investors now because they are full in LLM investments. First of all LLM are biased to people who earn money because they can afford to use them, those are expensive tools so to bring back money they need to attact the people who can pay money. The free path is just dealer giving free samples to hook you up with your AI buddy. Another thing is that LLM might hold required knowledge but to retrieve knowledge you need to learn how to ask those smart questions AI is biased to. I will argue that if poor people know how to ask smart questions they won't be poor. Deal with it or not. If we are all intelligent because AI made us so smart then maybe we're all just dumb enough to believe in it. There were many cases in history where rich people were fooled by younger dynamic people. Especially today where most of billionaires are gradnpa, oh look grandpa this is AIG invest in it. You can still speak to it if you invest another billion dollars. Let's not forget who founded WW2, grandpa millionaires. Why WW3 would not be founded by grandpa billonaires ? It might already happened.

Given that I think 90% if not all the current AI investments are missed. Those are just doing the same schema that Uber was doing for Taxi, Facebook was doing for Forums etc. Silicon Valley is doing the same thing since ages, pour money to create market and lure people then when everyone is invested take their privacy and make them pay for it. That's all schema, fake market for people who can be addicted.

Changing the topic and going back to debate. The next question we should ask is will poor or rich matter for next generation of people that were born after 2017. Might be not because people can now generate any answer, they can watch or hear anything that was created on this planet. Maybe not now everyone can do it but in future if we follow this path. People can generate similar artwork or videos to anything. Generate voice or image of person that looks like other people. There will be people that will be hacked by AI completly like there are people addicted to heroine there will be people addicted to AI. I mean anything can happen at this point. It's just generative amount of possiblities. We have a generator of problems. Everything is possible and impossible at the same level right now. It's just money and computing power at this point.

The next question is what kind of people the last generation will be, will they be good or even worse people then 5th generation. Generation ask question about anything and analyze. I am 3/4th generation person and to be honest I don't understand the 5th generation. I mean I understand who they are but I don't understand how to help them. I mean I can't, I can just observe their misery. They call it generation Z, social networks. I call it generation content. Amount of content you don't need in everyday life people consume everyday is out of the bar today. The channels like hydraulic press, carpet cleaning, Vacuum vs, animal vs animal and finally Mr Beast and dancing videos on tik tok, the trends and constant shift to new wierd content. Netflix or any streaming platform movies that every movie is pretty much the same. Music on the autotune that have no life in it. It's a digital drug, tik toks, short videos, gifs, pictures this is pure dopamine for pepole, changing images with new wierd content without obvious answer. News, Drama, Memes. That's depressing, no wonder suicides in young people are record high in the whole western civilisation.

Very bad things for young people and we now added LLM on top of that. I often read or hear people telling that students are asking questions about LLM answers and articles that don't exists and stuff like that. 6th generation is last generation, they get all the answers, they might get biased, internet can get biased by existing LLM and we might not see any truth at all in the future. But we are certain that from 2017 all answers will be given, for any question that is going to the robot - the robot will answer. We might be the last people who see the truth and that's not a science fiction scenario. We see the court decision that Anthropic did nothing wrong by scanning and destroying books, politicans in future might say we have all the books here in AI so we would burn the libraries and museums. I'm not saying literally but they can cut the founding. Let's not forget all our civilisation history is founded from our taxes and if people decide that it's good to stop founding public libraries and give money to AI who can stop them ? In the long term, nobody can. It's just bias. After 2017 it's also AI bias. It might happen, future people can be left without any ground source of truth that's not digital. We're heading this path very fast.

Human minds are being hacked by the constant questioning of everything they do, now they got the ability to get those answers efortlessy. There was a chapter here about how AI is helping people and hurting them in the same time and what is real usage and real market not that bullshit fictional market you see that's generated by those fat checks. But why give billionaires a hints, why give people without soul their soul ? So they can earn more money ? What's the point ? So I just wait because this software in this chapter will be written in future. Actuall usefull software for humans.

What I think about it ?

This saying for me personally after evaluation LLM are evil because of my believes in 1st and 2nd generation principles that pushed humans forward for the longest period of time. The discovery by human, not the discovery of human that is happening right now in all those server rooms. This is what is making us humans. For me LLM is pandora box that we all will see in full scale when all children after 2017 will be exposed to it and grow up so we need to wait at least 1, 2 or maybe even 3 decades. It will happen we just don't know the scale and the outcomes. Sam Altman said this year that his children won't be smarter from AI. Maybe he's right but not how he thinks he is. Maybe they won't be because there won't be any information left to make them smarter. Maybe they will stop understanding because their minds will be altered and broken by AI that they grow with. They will become algorithm slaves. If politicans decide to expose every child to AI generated content and destroy the world who can stop them in the long term ? If parents decide to do it who can stop them ? Once you took the drug you're addicted, it's just frequency of consumption and size of pocket that we say someone is a junkie or alcoholic the other one is whiskey enthusiast or excentric billionaire. It's all just people. It's simple and unchangeable. Child labour is still a thing we haven't solved this problem yet but we go future and introduce new problems.

The last of my questions

Would there be humans in the end and in what form they would exists if at all. I don't know if there will be because I won't be here anymore when it all will happen and I am glad. I saw what I meant to see and I am gratefull for that. I can look at 4 generations of people and I see the last of them. I see the last generation of people or the new genration as Neanderthal. For me they are the most miserable ones. At the same time maybe the first ones who won't need answers at all and will destroy all the machines at the end. We don't understand who we are, what we are and why we are here at the end. Everyone have some thoughts about it, one are insane other one are religion, history and prophecies but there is no clear path to the future. Maybe books, AI, movies, tv change nothing but are here to cut us from real truth like in Tower of Babel or maybe future people will start speaking with robot voice with chipsets in their brains. I don't know. I am just human. The possibilities are endless.
This saying I have only one more thing to write.

Good Luck !

Peace.
